Moving further into the building, it becomes even more magical and whimsical. G was entranced by all the Cabbage Patch Kids (CBKs for those in the know) "playing" in the garden
as well as by all the CPK hanging out by their house. There must have been 100 dolls lined up waiting to be "adopted."
G choose a "newborn" named Tayler Savannah. The newborns and preemies are named by the Babyland General visitors who happen to be there when Mother Cabbage gives "birth" (about once an hour).
The "nurses" know when Mother Cabbage is about to give birth when the fairies' crystals begin to glow and Mother Cabbage reaches a "10-leaf dilation." Yes, every real mother in the place was nodding her head and snickering. The nurse administers a bit of "imagitocin" to help Mother Cabbage along. The nures checks the state of the art "sonogram" machine to determine the baby's gender. A pink screen means a girl and blue screen means a boy. Mother Cabbage
gave birth to a girl while we were there. The nurse also makes sure that the baby is coming head first for a normal birth or feet first for a "branch birth." Thankfully, Mother Cabbage had a normal birth that time and the nurse didn't have to help her with a difficult branch birth. After G choose her baby, she had to finalize the adoption. We were first lead to a waiting room while the nurse prepared the paperwork.

Then G had to swear to love her baby forever, be the best mother ever and sign the adoption papers. Then she was allowed to take her baby home (after Daddy parted with the "adoption fee").

This is so clever and a must-do when Addison is old enough. I loved my CPKs as a child and I hope she will have the same enjoyment I did. Thank you for sharing your adoption story.
